TEA - NOVEMBER 4, 2019 -
PEARL MCMANUS DAY - Wear Pearls
Palm Springs Own "Glinda the Good Witch"
MONDAY - $15.00
1:00 Meeting
INSPIRATION: Diane Arneal
1:30 Renee Brown from the Palm Springs Historical Society will tell us about the PS Woman's Club's history, and specifically about Pearl McManus, who was admired by many and feared by others. Her domineering spirit and ingenuity worked magic and helped shape early Palm Springs. We have her to thank for our Palm Springs Woman's Club. Her father planted the first fruit trees at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountain Range..
Tea Committee: Executive Board
YEARBOOKS and SCHOLARSHIP LUNCH: We will be handing out the yearbooks.
PEARLS: Our Teas are steeped in tradition. As we pay tribute each year to one of our Club founders, and the benefactor of the land our clubhouse is on, Pearl McManus, we wear pearls to the opening Tea. Our Teas celebrate the present, while we honor and preserve the culture and traditions of our past.
